That's okay. [Izuku relaxes when Todoroki closes his eyes without much fuss. Good. That saves him from having to do something drastic, like pushing a pillow against his friend's face.
His hand curls in the blanket, and he lets his eyes slowly close as he murmurs--] I'm glad you and the others were safe.
[He doesn't fall asleep immediately, but it doesn't take as long as he would've thought either. Finally, his breathing evens out and he drifts off.]
[Shouto opens his eyes back up once Midoriya manages to get to sleep. It's... satisfying to see him properly asleep with his breathing even. Seeing Midoriya breathing at all seems to put his mind at ease and it's not too much longer before Shouto also succumbs to sleep.
The next morning he's cuddled up to Midoriya's side, head tucked underneath his friend's and having the best night of rest he's managed in a long time.]
[Izuku wakes up in stages. It's warm, he realizes at first. Warmer than he's used to it being. Once that thought passes, he dozes back off for a little while. The next time he surfaces, there's something tickling his face. His nose wrinkles at the strange, tickling sensation that refuses to go away.
Finally, he shifts away just so, eyes opening as he does so he can get his bearings. A head of red and white hair greets him, and well, that answers a few questions. Normally, Izuku has no trouble getting up earlier, ready to work, but this time, the pile of cushions is actually comfortable enough to convince him to stay lying down. He closes his eyes. Maybe he could sleep just a little longer....]
[Shouto has no desire to get up. But he does snuffle a bit and curl up closer to Midoriya. He might never have temperature concerns, but something warm (normal warm) in his space is perfectly welcome.
One of his hands is lightly gripping Midoriya's shirt, as if to keep him there.]
[The next time Izuku wakes up, he's still warmer than usual. He slowly opens his eyes, taking a moment to start up his brain and actually process what he's seeing again. Somehow, his arm's ended up slung over Todoroki's hip, and when he tries to shift in place, he realizes Todoroki's grip on his shirt is stopping him from moving too far.
It's... new, being this close. This isn't the first sleepover they've had--it wasn't too long ago that he and the rest of his classmates had slept in the same room to watch the shadows--but this is the first time they've really curled up together like this. Izuku wonders if the two of them had subconsciously latched onto each other for the comfort they needed after the last few days.
Either way, it's getting late in the day already. There's no way he'll be able to burn off any energy if he just lets himself doze off again. Cautiously, remembering the last time he'd tried to wake Todoroki, Izuku gently pokes at his friend's side.] Todoroki-kun, wake up.
[There's a soft snuffling noise as he curls up closer to Midoriya, still apparently asleep. Or at least, making a valiant attempt to stay asleep.
He didn't get anything like this as a kid, and that time they had their sleepover there were plenty of other bodies around to make him feel safe and protected. This time he just subconsciously wants to be close to and cuddle with his best friend.]
[Yeah, that's about what he expected. Izuku feels sort of bad, waking Todoroki when he obviously wants to keep sleeping. Maybe he should just let his friend sleep a little longer...?
With that in mind, Izuku shifts again, this time, trying to move out of the pile of blankets and pillows without waking Todoroki.]
[Meanwhile Shouto clings tighter to Midoriya's shirt. He'd be much happier using Midoriya as a very large teddy bear than letting him leave the nest of blankets.]
[Alright, so this isn't going to work. Part of him's incredibly amused by Todoroki's clinginess, even if he's stumped by how he's going to escape now.]
Todoroki-kun. [He says again, a smile tugging at his lips when he sees the state of Todoroki's hair. The red and white strands, normally so impeccably organized by color, have become a mess during sleep. And since Todoroki doesn't seem in a hurry to wake up, Izuku sighs and begins gently sorting some of the strands to the side they belong on while he waits.]
[Very slowly he starts to wake up. He doesn't really want the gently hands in his hair to stop, but light is starting to hit them. The motion also starts to coax him into wakefulness.
Somewhere around ten minutes he actually cracks his eyes open.
He still hasn't let go of Midoriya's shirt and he's not quite all the way awake yet.]
[For a moment, Izuku wavers, torn between doing what Todoroki's asking and also his own embarrassment at being caught doing something that he probably wasn't supposed to do. At least Todoroki doesn't seem to mind it too much...
Slowly, Izuku lowers his hand again, though his touch is lighter and more uncertain before.]
I'll try to find one for you the next time I go looking for supplies.
[Sitting here like this, watching Todoroki practically drift off makes Izuku feel both warm and pleased. It's hard to think that a while ago, Todoroki had been so closed off to everyone in their class.]
Mmm just normal things we can use. And first aid supplies for the clinic, too.
[By now he's already sorted Todoroki's hair to their proper sides, but he continues running his fingers gently through his friend's hair anyway, careful not to mess up his work.]
I'm a little surprised. [He murmurs quietly. He's hoping he doesn't scare Todoroki off by saying this, but...he's curious.] I didn't think you'd like anyone touching you like this.
[Not that he's complaining. Aside from his mom, hugs and other kinds of physical affection are rare for him. It's nice, knowing that Todoroki trusts him enough to let him close.]
[And, wow, if that doesn't make tear up just a little.]
Oh. [He says softly, because there doesn't seem to be anything adequate to put his feelings into words. All he knows is that he doesn't ever want to let Todoroki feel like this trust is misplaced.]

He opens one eye to peek at Todoroki and... ah.]
You should sleep, too, Todoroki-ku--um. Todoroki.

But he does close his eyes. ]
It might be a while before I get to sleep. ... I'm glad you're back, Midoriya.

You don't have to be shy about it.

Must take a while to get both colors all on the right side. [He says, amused, even as he carefully moves some red strands over to the left.]

It takes a while... Especially here. I miss having a comb.

Instead he hums and considers that. It's true he doesn't like most people touching him.]
It's fine 'cause it's you.

[Wrapped up in blankets and pillows.
Well, he's said what he wanted to. So he closes his eyes and goes back to enjoying Midoriya petting him.]
