Rin lost access to the app. He doesn't remember anything. He's just like everyone else now. Chiyo is really hurting and I can't fix it. He's my cousin and I always thought the three of us were in this together, but now he's gone. Just like that. He's here, but he's totally gone.

[glaciers]

I'm sorry. I haven't had to deal with this yet, but I think it must be worse because he's your cousin. He's family. I don't know if there's anything I can do to help, but let me know.

It's awful, but it's nothing in comparison to how Chiyo must feel. I don't know what to do for her. I don't know how to help or even make it a little better. First her best friend and then her brother and—

( sigh and a frustrated noise as he starts to tear up. )

It's commendable to want to protect her. ... Just... be there for her. I think that's a good start. Be there and make sure you're still here.

I can't, Shouto. There's nothing I can do to guarantee that. Just like Rin, I could one day completely lose access and forget.

I'll always be there for her and I'll always do what I can for her, but it doesn't feel like enough. Not even close. Especially if I do end up like Rin.
