[Okay, so then Shouto will probably know exactly what John's capable of. That's fine.]

Did you win though?

[glaciers]

We were stopped from fighting by Midoriya. Since we weren't supposed to be doing it in the first place.

I don't know if I'd win.

[windeity]

That sounds like Izuku. [A very calm kind of peace-making dude. That makes sense to him.] If that's the case then I guess we are evenly matched. You can use your ice, I'll use the wind and we'll see what we can do. You don't have any weapons you train with, too, do you?

[glaciers]

[No, Midoriya definitely startled him out of doing something stupid.]

Not unless you count this vest.

[It's only use is to keep him from freezing or overheating.]

[windeity]

Unless the vest has knives that fly out of it I think the vest is just a vest. I have hammers, but I can avoid using them and we can just fight with aspects. Uh. Quirks. Whatever. It'll be good practice anyway, Dave keeps bitching that I need to get better with agility.

[glaciers]

Our natural abilities? Powers. There's too many words for them.

Let's just stick with powers. But yeah, come at me and we can see how we match up. Ready? One...two...three! [He's also bracing himself since he literally has no idea what Shouto's ice can do in combat.]

[glaciers]

[Alright, then Shouto's using his ice to pillar himself up to the rooftops, chasing John down.]

[windeity]

[He's quick to fly out of the way, though the ice clearly startles him and he falters briefly. It doesn't take long to throw out a cyclone though, controlling it to try and break up Shouto's trajectory.]

[glaciers]

[Shouto jumps out of the way and towards another ice spire, throwing out an icicle towards John.]

[windeity]

[It's tempting to break out the hammer and use that to diffuse the ice, but they'd agreed powers only. Instead, he's tracking Shouto's movements and changing the direction of the cyclone but it gets dropped as he suddenly disappears, turning into the breeze to dodge the icicle and appearing on the other side of Shouto.

He uses the wind to try and whittle down the spire enough that Shouto doesn't have a platform to stay on, ready to fly off again in an instant.]

[glaciers]

[He gives an annoyed puff of air, frosting as soon as it leaves his mouth. John is fast, but Shouto knows his own ice very well. Instead of letting himself get flatfooted, he makes a wave of ice he can ride away from John.

The ice he was standing on collapses.]

[windeity]

[Shouto sails off on his ice wave and John actually looks so delighted as he floats up a little higher.]

Nice! [He probably shouldn't be encouraging his opponent and yet.] You're pretty good at keeping up. [He tries the wind trick again to break up the ice, and it might become more clear to Shouto that John's strength, while powerful, seems to only work in controlling the wind in particular ways.

Still, he moves the next gust to try and pick up Shouto himself but who knows if that'll work for him.]

[glaciers]

[It's a little bit like fighting Midoriya back during the sports festival. Midoriya favored the long range windblasts. But John isn't breaking all his fingers to do this.

John absolutely does succeed in picking up Shouto because he wasn't expecting it. So now he's properly in John's windy grasp.]

[windeity]

[That's because John, unlike Izuku, sometimes maybe knows his limits. As it is, Shouto's whirling around in a whirlwind and John's pretty pleased with himself, controlling the wind as he carries Shouto up and away before finding a nearby building and hooking him by the back of his shirt on a part of the roof, leaving him to dangle and for John to float in front of him instead. Unless Shouto figures out how to get himself down, John's counting that as a win.]

[glaciers]

[There's a sense of deja vu as he's up there on a roof. At least he hasn't been tied up to somebody's telephone pole. A small mercy. While he's strung up like this, he can at least touch the roof with his right hand, icing it over and giving him a platform to stand on.]

It's not over yet.

[This time, he rides his wave of ice towards John.]

[windeity]

[The ice comes toward him and John flies up and out of the way, heading higher and higher.] Catch me if you can, dude! [This is about the only way he thinks he can get away with that.]

[glaciers]

[Shouto's out here just literally riding a wave of ice up towards John, trying his hardest to catch him!]

[windeity]

[Unfortunately he's really good at keep-away but this also isn't combat and he recognizes that. On the other hand it's interesting to see Shouto's limits.]

Do you know how high you can actually go? [And he turns suddenly to go sideways to see if Shouto can switch with ease. He might also be gearing up to something.]

[glaciers]

[With how much ice he's expending, versus how little he's been using his fire- his right side is visibly frosted up.]

A good few kilometers into the air.

[While he does manage the switch, it seems slower than it was before.]

[windeity]

[He floats just out of range, frowning a little as he notices.]

Dude are you sure you're okay? You look sort of freezerburned.

[glaciers]

[He'll make another bit of ice to jump down onto the ground. Again, the creation is much slower than it was before.

But now he'll turn on his fire half, allowing the ice to melt away.]

I need to defrost.

[windeity]

[...SHOUTO!!!]

That was a really bad joke, but that's a pretty cool trick.

[glaciers]

[ Shouto gives a slow blink. ]

... I didn't make a joke.

[windeity]

...it was kind of a joke? Like humor is subjective. [Are they really going to be distracted by this?]
